Is pre-algebra considered advance math for 7th grade? Pre-algebra is considered advance math per a statement from my son's school. I thought the statement was odd because Shane started pre-algebra in 7th grade too. Besides, don't you have to graduate high school completing calculus if the child is college-bound?
I was asked what math my son should take in 7th grade. I told them pre-algebra. I did tell the principal that he has an engineering mind.
He took a placement test and they enrolled him into pre-algebra. After the test, the principal said that he is methodical.
This mom knows her son since I help him in math. Yes, I am a horrible mom that makes her kid finish or try to finish his math curriculum during the summer months. He finished 71 lessons out of 120.
I guess I am one crazy homeschooling mom.
