Well, hello there!
Look at the marking on the shell. The children said, it looks like animal paw prints on its shell.
The other day the children found a baby turtle in the back yard.They played with it for a while and then took it down to the pond.
I soaked 5 pounds of apples. I am preparing to make some apple butter. I received 5 pounds of free apples from someone in our home school group. I peeled, cored , and cut them into wedges. I put the apples with some cinnamon, cloves, salt, and sugar into a crock pot for about 8 hours. After 8 hours they were soft enough to mash them down.
Very tasty!
We have our first egg from one of our hens. We now get from 3-5 eggs a day. 
The first pumpkin from the garden. I made some pumpkin butter out of this pumpkin.
