Christmas Day

Image
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a white Christmas here. It snowed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is a winter wonderland outside. I will have to take some pictures today.

Shane is opening a present from Grandma & Grandpa.

Can you see the squirrel in this picture? I took this picture from my bedroom window. The squirrel is eating a walnut.

A friend brought over some canned green beans from there garden and 4 pounds of venison. She gave me these items because I let her borrow a math program (Math U See).

Brian made venison stew. I think venison taste better than beef. The picture does not look very good because the stew was just taken out of the refrigerator. Trust me, this stew was delicious. Do you know what venison is? It is deer meat. Everyone around here eats or hunts deer. You have to try it some time. Now, I need to try some bison. Would you care to join me in eating bison?

Jarrett getting ready to go out in the snow.

Look at what Shane did to me last Wednesday. I was putting him to bed and he accidentally head butted me in the eye.

Christmas is Coming

It snowed all day on Friday. Nathan could not wait to go out and play in the snow. On Saturday, he made a snow man. He is the only one that will stay outside for hours in the cold snow. He did say that he wants to live in Mammoth, CA when he grows up. He truly loves the snow...

I hope it snows for Christmas!

You have to watch this

I watched this DVD the other night. It is excellent!!! This is a DVD for dads, moms, and daughters to watch. I found this DVD at our local library. I am so glad that our library carries a lot of Christian items. If you want more info visit their website to view the trailer at: http://www.returnofthedaughters.com/

This highly controversial documentary will take viewers into the homes of several young women who have dared to defy today's anti-family culture in pursuit of a biblical approach to daughterhood, using their years between childhood and marriage to pioneer a new culture of strength and dignity....and to rebuild Western Civilization, starting with the culture of the home. This DVD also talks about encouraging brothers, courtship & marriage, and biblical foundations.

Our little Jarrett.
Nathan & Carissa were in our town Christmas parade this past Saturday. They passed out candy and delivered gift bags to the senior citizens center.

I made a deep dish homemade apple pie for Thanksgiving. The crust was nice and thick. I put 11 large green apples in it. It sure tasted good.
I read this book this month. This is a nice book for children to read. I highly recommend reading books about missionaries.
